Competition for the concept design of interior renovation

In 2017, Insight ADB architects, leading a group of students from Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering participated in a competition to develop a concept for the renovation of the interiors of the "Architect's House" in Voronezh.
Learn how our project became a key step in the formation of a modern architectural space that promotes the exchange of experience and interaction with professionals, as well as the formation of a "healthy" social and professional microclimate that will have a positive impact on the architectural community and, as a consequence, on the urban environment as a whole.

Approved by professionals: successful presentation of the concept of the «Architect's House»

Insight ADB's project of organizing the public space of the "Architect's House" was proposed to the professional community and passed successful presentation. Our concept was recognized by the architects as optimal for all rooms on the ground floor (the spaces on the second floor were designed by another team).
A modern reception desk and a stylish checkroom became the first impression for visitors to the Architect's House.

A lecture hall and its engineering equipment for architects' meetings

This project was intended to solve global tasks, such as creating a modern platform for architects' communications, the work of the renewed Union of Architects, attracting the attention of the authorities and citizens to the architectural profession.
Nevertheless, there were also local tasks, including preservation of the room and filling the 120-seat lecture hall with modern engineering equipment, which could be used not only for meetings of the professional community, but also for public debates.
Exhibition hall and informal spaces for the sharing ideas
Another major space, the Exhibition Hall, with properly designed lighting and comfortable exhibit space, integrates a coffee shop and bookstore with the last one of the latest architecture and design publications.
The coffee shop and the chill zone will help to organize informal communication, open discussions, exchange of experience "without ties", to hold debates and to involve other professional communities in architectural life.

It took several years to realize the project. Thanks to the efforts of Konstantin Kuznetsov, Assistant to the Governor of Voronezh region (since September 2021 he is also the Chairman of the Board of the regional branch of the Union of Architects of Russia), the renovation works were launched and on July 1, 2021 the official opening of the renovated «Architect's House» took place.
In addition to the development of the project itself, our bureau supervised its part of the project, helped related organizations in decision-making and assisted in the implementation of the project.
